Lantana Recovery
A modern, community-based approach to addiction treatment for Men and Women in South Carolina
Lantana Recovery is an alcohol and drug rehab offering ethical and comprehensive treatment to individuals suffering from addiction.
Our primary drug and alcohol rehab program provides a structured and intensive addiction treatment for those who require more support than outpatient rehab but do not require 24-hour medical care.
Every individual’s treatment team includes a licensed medical professional, a licensed therapist, and a peer support specialist who acts as a case manager.
Our program has an optional residential component for clients who are not local to Charleston.
Our family program is designed to help loved ones better understand addiction and provide support to those in recovery, through counseling sessions and educational workshops.
Our family program provides a safe and welcoming space for families to come together and share their experiences, challenges, and successes. Through group discussions, peer support, and experiential activities, families can develop a deeper understanding of addiction and the impact it has on the family system.
Our individual counseling sessions are a core component of our comprehensive approach to addiction treatment. Our experienced and compassionate therapists work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
Through individual counseling, clients have the opportunity to explore the underlying issues that contribute to their addiction, such as past trauma, mental health conditions, or relationship problems. Our therapists use evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to help clients develop new skills and coping strategies.
Our group counseling sessions are an integral part of our addiction treatment program at Lantana Recovery. We believe that the power of a supportive community cannot be overstated when it comes to overcoming addiction. Our experienced therapists lead these sessions, providing guidance and facilitating open and honest communication among participants.
Group counseling offers a unique opportunity for clients to connect with others who are going through similar struggles. Participants can share their experiences, challenges, and successes with one another, creating a sense of empathy and mutual support. Hearing others’ perspectives can be enlightening and help clients gain new insights into their own addiction and recovery process.
At Lantana Recovery, we recognize that medication can be an important tool in supporting addiction recovery. Our medication management program is designed to help our clients safely and effectively manage medication use as part of their overall treatment plan.
Our licensed medical professionals are highly trained in addiction medicine and have extensive experience working with individuals in recovery. They work closely with clients to assess their medication needs and develop a personalized treatment plan that takes into account their unique medical history, substance use patterns, and treatment goals.
At Lantana Recovery, we understand that not everyone can put their life on hold to attend inpatient rehab. Our outpatient rehab program is designed to provide flexible and accessible treatment options for clients who require more flexibility in their recovery journey.
Our outpatient program offers a range of evidence-based treatments, including individual counseling, group therapy, medication management, and specialized programming for co-occurring disorders. Our experienced team of addiction professionals works with clients to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets their specific needs and goals.
Lantana Recovery was founded in 2018 by partners Dominic Rosa, Eric Carver and Warren Phillips, when they recognized that the Charleston, S.C. area offered an abundance of resources for individuals in early recovery from substance use disorder, yet did not offer many support services.
Lantana Recovery, created by a group of individuals in long-term recovery from Substance Use Disorders, was born out of a belief that community-based integrative treatment, based on empowerment, gives clients the best chance for achieving sustained recovery.
Research shows that a long-term continuum of care is critical in order for treatment to be effective.
Lantana’s rehab in Charleston accepts all major forms of insurance which includes the following list:

We offer specialized programming for our clients in the following areas of care:
Lantana Recovery cares deeply about the client experience and offers:
Lantana Recovery’s Empowerment Program is a comprehensive community-based integrative care model of treatment, offering multilayered structure, support and accountability, which allows clients to earn increased autonomy as they move through the program.
At Lantana, we understand that many clients experience mental health challenges along with addiction. Sometimes psychiatric medication management, in conjunction with group and individual therapy, are a necessary part of a client’s treatment plan.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or “day treatment” is a Substance Use Disorder treatment program which does not require residential living and around-the-clock supervision.
Individual Therapy, held weekly in most Levels of Care, is the core of Lantana Recovery. Our therapists all have extensive experience with addiction, mental health and dually diagnosed populations.
Located on the historic peninsula of Charleston, South Carolina, Lantana Recovery Charleston outpatient rehab takes a modern approach to Substance Use Disorder treatment, offering intensive clinical care while also immersing our clients in local Charleston culture.

This week`s recovery theme is #honesty. Honesty plays a large part in treatment and recovery. Honesty promotes trust among peers, aids in building strong bond, promotes healthy coping mechanisms, and enables us to take accountability for our feelings, thoughts, and actions. While it can be tempting to revert to old, dishonest tendencies, leading with honesty will promote a successful recovery.

As we approach #OverdoseAwarenessDay, it`s crucial that we equip ourselves with the knowledge that can truly save lives. Identifying an overdose and administering Narcan can mean the difference between life and death. Swipe or see below for some key steps:
1️⃣ Recognize the Signs: Be aware of the signs of an overdose, which can include slow or irregular breathing, blue lips or fingertips, unresponsiveness, and pinpoint pupils. Trust your instincts; if something doesn`t seem right, it`s better to act.
2️⃣ Call 911: If you suspect someone is overdosing, call for emergency help immediately. Time is critical in these situations.
3️⃣ Administer Narcan: If you have access to Narcan (naloxone), it can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Narcan is available as a nasal spray and is relatively easy to use. Follow the instructions carefully, and remember that it`s safe to administer even if you`re not sure it`s an overdose – it won`t harm someone who isn`t overdosing on opioids.
4️⃣ Stay with the Person: After administering Narcan, stay with the person and monitor their breathing. Be prepared to administer another dose if necessary.
