What is it?
Stigma is a family support group for anyone who is struggling, or has struggled, with an addicted family member. It is a service aimed at helping family members receive support in their own process by providing resources, education and community in a safe space.
What is the goal?
The goal is for families to help other families in their journey with addiction. We want participants to come away with a better understanding of the disease, a bond with an understanding community and a toolkit to better handle stressors that arise from having a family member battling addiction.

While most people think first of the definition meaning a perception of disgrace, a stigma is also the center of a flower that receives pollination and allows the flower to flourish. We see the family unit as the “stigma” to a person’s recovery process. When the stigma is pollinated the flower can blossom.
