Psychiatry and Medication Management

At Lantana, we understand that many clients experience mental health challenges along with addiction. Sometimes psychiatric medication management, in conjunction with group and individual therapy, are a necessary part of a client’s treatment plan. Our on-staff Psychiatrist, experienced in addressing co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders, will evaluate every client and manage their medication regimen appropriately. Generally, we believe that psychiatric medications can play a vital role in the addiction recovery process, but we also believe that many clients will be able to decrease their reliance on medication as they develop healthy coping skills and advance in the recovery process.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are Substance Use Disorder treatment programs that do not require residential living and around-the-clock 24/7 supervision. Participants will receive specialized care by visiting our clinical center several times a week for group and individual therapy sessions, as well as psychiatry and medication management sessions. Among the best rehabs in South Carolina, Lantana’s programs are perfect for people who live in a safe environment and want to continue their commitments to family, work, and their personal life while addressing their substance use issues at the same time.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or “day treatment” is a Substance Use Disorder treatment program which does not require residential living and around-the-clock supervision. Participants receive treatment by attending group, individual therapy and psychiatry sessions for 30hrs weekly at our clinical center. Clients are generally recommended to “step-down” to our other Outpatient Programs after completing the Partial Hospitalization Program. We extend our rehab services to South Carolina residents.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery. At Lantana Recovery, we believe in following proven research and recommend the most effective treatment interventions for every client. We utilize Medication-Assisted Treatments, such as Vivitrol® (Naltrexone), Suboxone® (Buprenorphine and Naloxone) and Sublocade™ (Buprenorphine Extended-Release), when deemed appropriate.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy, held weekly in most levels of care, is the core of Lantana Recovery. Our therapists all have extensive experience with addiction, mental health and dually diagnosed populations. Each with their own voice, experience and clinical approach, our therapists develop and follow a treatment plan for each client utilizing various therapeutic techniques to address the individual’s needs.
