Levels of Care

One front door. Every level of care.

Start wherever you are. A 10–15 minute clinical pre-assessment — based on ASAM criteria — determines the right level of care for you, so you're never guessing at what you need.

Flagship Program

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our most structured level of care: full clinical programming six days a week, without the lockdown of a 24/7 facility. Pair it with Lantana Living sober housing for a residential-style experience grounded in real life.

  • Dedicated three-person treatment team from day one
  • Gender-sensitive mornings, choose-your-track afternoons
  • Psychiatric evaluation within your first 48 hours*
  • Typical length of stay: 4–6 weeks

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Two focused group sessions a day, led by licensed clinicians — process work first, skills and education second. In Charleston, attend in person or virtually and mix both.

Outpatient Detox

Medically supervised withdrawal management, on an outpatient basis. Meet with our associate medical director the same day you admit — usually within hours — for a personal withdrawal plan.

Sober Living — Lantana Living

Certified recovery residences with Lantana's own clinical and peer support staff embedded in the house — not just a house manager. Optional, and ideal if you're traveling to us for treatment.

Standard Outpatient (OP)

A lighter-touch continuing care option for clients stepping down from IOP — keep momentum, stay connected to your therapist and community. Currently offered in Connecticut.

If you need a level of care we don't provide — like inpatient detox — we coordinate concierge placement at a trusted partner facility, then welcome you back to Lantana to continue your recovery. We handle it all from your very first call.

Talk It Through

Our Approach

Three experts. One plan. Built around you.

Addiction isn't just biology, environment, or behavior — it's all three. That's why every PHP client gets a dedicated three-tiered treatment team from day one, something you'll rarely find at the outpatient level of care.

01

Medical Provider

Board-Certified Psychiatric NP

Untangles the biological side of addiction — full psychiatric evaluation, medication management, MAT/MOUD support, and co-occurring mental health care. Every client is seen on the front end.

02

Primary Therapist

Licensed Clinician · Weekly 1-on-1

Leads the behavioral and psychiatric work with at least one 45–60 minute individual session every week — and brings your chosen family members into the process when you're ready.

03

Recovery Manager

Case Manager + Peer Support

Handles real life while you focus on recovery: FMLA and employment coordination, finances, legal matters, life skills, discharge planning — with the lived experience of someone who's been there.

Community, built daily
The welcoming Lantana Recovery team
Your team, from day one

Seen fast, supported early. Our standard of practice is a psychiatric evaluation within your first 48 hours of programming — a standard we meet roughly 90% of the time. You'll also meet a care continuum coordinator who guides your intake on day one and plans your aftercare before you leave.

Why Lantana

Boutique care. Real community. Proven structure.

Built for working adults who need serious clinical support without stepping away from their lives — and a recovery community that doesn't end at discharge.

Your recovery, your pathway

AA, SMART Recovery, Dharma Recovery, Celebrate Recovery — all embedded in our curriculum, all elective. You opt into the pathways that align with your beliefs and skip the ones that don't.

Residential-style, real-world

Six days a week of PHP programming plus staffed sober living creates the depth of a residential stay — while you practice recovery in the real world, not behind locked doors.

Community that outlasts treatment

The most consistent theme in our reviews: clients leave with lifelong friendships, an alumni network, and a community that keeps showing up long after the program ends.

Evidence-based, measured weekly

CBT- and DBT-informed care with measurement-based outcomes: PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments every single week, so your team adjusts your plan based on data — not guesswork.

Structure that rewards progress

Our phased system builds accountability first, then earns you freedom — Sunday family passes, overnight passes, and leadership roles in the community as you hit your own treatment goals.

Family healing, included

Your therapist keeps the family members you choose informed and involved — and our free virtual family program, Stigma, meets every Tuesday evening, open to families at any stage.

Admissions

From first call to first day — we handle everything.

No waitlists, no run-around. One confidential call starts a process our team manages end to end, including transportation. The only thing that ever extends the timeline is a medical need for inpatient detox — and we coordinate that too.

Start With a Call
  1. A five-minute first call

We listen, gather the basics, and run a live insurance benefits check while you're on the phone — so you know your coverage before anything else.

  2. A 10–15 minute clinical pre-assessment

A brief, confidential phone evaluation based on ASAM criteria determines the level of care that genuinely fits your situation.

  3. Clinical & financial review

Our Director of Admissions, Clinical Director, and Chief Operating Officer review your assessment together — medical, clinical, and financial — and approve your admission.

  4. Clearance & logistics

We confirm your admission, answer every remaining question, and arrange transportation. If you need housing, Lantana Living is set up before you arrive.

  5. Day one, done right

A care continuum coordinator greets you personally, walks you through the program, tours the facility with you, and introduces the team who'll be with you the whole way.

Insurance & Cost

In-network care.
No surprises.

Lantana is an in-network provider with all major commercial insurance plans — not an out-of-network facility with out-of-network bills.

  • Verified while you're on the phoneLive eligibility-of-benefits check during your first call — online or by phone.
  • Free, confidential, zero obligationYour information is protected under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Verifying commits you to nothing.
  • Self-pay options availableNo insurance? Ask our admissions team about straightforward self-pay rates.

Verify your insurance

Takes about 60 seconds. A member of our admissions team will confirm your benefits and call you back — usually within the hour.

Verifying your insurance is free, 100% confidential, and carries no obligation.

Proudly in-network with major carriers

We hold in-network contracts — so your plan's in-network rates apply, not out-of-network bills.

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Humana
  • Optum
  • Magellan Healthcare
  • TRICARE
  • Beacon Health Options

Don't see your plan? We work with most commercial insurers — call us and we'll check in minutes.

I came for treatment and left with a community. The friendships I built at Lantana are still the backbone of my recovery — these people show up for each other long after discharge.

Questions, Answered

What most people ask us first

The honest answers, before you ever pick up the phone. Anything else — call us anytime at (866) 997-2870.

Does Lantana Recovery take my insurance?
Almost certainly, yes. We're in-network with all major commercial insurance plans — not an out-of-network facility. During your first call we run a live eligibility-of-benefits check so you know exactly what your plan covers before you commit to anything. You can also verify online — it's free, confidential, and carries no obligation.
What's the difference between PHP and IOP?
PHP (Partial Hospitalization) is our most structured program — full clinical days, six days a week, with a dedicated three-person treatment team. IOP (Intensive Outpatient) steps down to about three hours of group therapy per day, leaving room for work and family. You don't have to decide alone: a 10–15 minute clinical pre-assessment determines the right starting point for you.
How long does treatment take?
Most clients complete PHP in about 4–6 weeks and IOP in roughly 6–10 weeks, depending on location and clinical need. Your length of stay is driven by your progress and your treatment team — not a fixed calendar.
Do you offer detox?
Yes. For clients who are medically appropriate, our medical team provides outpatient withdrawal management — you'll meet with our associate medical director the same day you admit, usually within hours. If you need a higher level of detox first, we arrange concierge placement at a trusted partner facility and welcome you back to Lantana afterward. Either way, we handle it from your first call.
Can I live at Lantana during treatment?
Yes — Lantana Living, our certified recovery-residence housing arm, offers staffed sober living in both Charleston and New Milford, with Lantana's own clinical and peer support staff embedded in the community. Combined with six days a week of PHP, it creates a residential-style experience without a locked-down facility. Housing is optional and ideal if you're traveling to us.
Will my family be involved?
If you want them to be. Your primary therapist identifies the family members you choose to involve, keeps them educated and informed, and can arrange optional family sessions. Families also get free access to Stigma, our virtual family support program every Tuesday evening — open to families whether their loved one is considering treatment, currently enrolled, or long since graduated.

The hardest call you’ll ever make is also the shortest.

Five minutes. One real person on the other end — day or night. No pressure, no obligation, just honest answers about what comes next.
