William Mesmer, CPSS

William Mesmer, CPSS, is the Care Continuum Coordinator at Lantana Recovery in South Carolina, overseeing intake, discharge planning, alumni relations, and referral source partnerships. A Certified Peer Support Specialist serving adults and the LGBTQ+ community, William holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Coastal Carolina University.

William believes connection is the antidote to the disease of addiction: vulnerability creates authenticity, and authenticity creates connection. He does his best to show up as himself, with a smile and a positive attitude.

As often the first person a new client meets, William takes seriously his responsibility to help each person feel safe, heard, and informed about the program. He shares a bit about himself, listens closely as clients share their own stories, and works to establish trust with every individual who walks through the door. So many people helped him on his own recovery journey, and he considers it a blessing to share his experience, strength, and hope with each client who enters Lantana Recovery. Outside of work, he spends time with family, plays softball, and travels.
