Eleanor Bryant
Lead Primary Therapist
Eleanor grew up on the east coast riding horses and playing lacrosse and attended an all-women’s college in the Virginia Blue Ridge for undergrad where she also played college sports. After graduation, Eleanor worked as a professional guide and operations director all over the world- including Antarctica, Alaska, and Russia. During Covid- Eleanor worked on an ambulance and directed a college outdoors program while achieving her advanced degree- then pivoted to mental healthcare with a focus on Victims of Crime, Couples, and women involved in IPV. After seeing the amount of crossover between her populations and SUD, Eleanor developed a keen interest in therapeutic treatment of SUD with a focus on neuro-biological impacts and their juxtaposition with trauma and lived experience through the neuroscientific lens. Eleanor believes that moral neutrality, disruption of stigma, and reduction of shame are key elements of long-term recovery. Eleanor has a dog named Ethel, likes triathlons, travel, and participates in any on-water/boating activity she can during her free time.
