Chip Eggleton

Primary Therapist

Chip earned his undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of Denver in 1998.  With a minor in leadership and fluency in Spanish, Chip took on various corporate management roles in different cities, including Chicago IL, Mexico City, El Paso TX, and Miami FL.  Ultimately, he founded a successful logistics company in 2006.

In 2012 Chip founded an investment company, which specializes in rescuing poorly managed investment properties.  Chip is passionate about historic architecture and has purchased, restored, leased, and subsequently sold multi-unit properties in IL, FL and SC.

Chip discovered Charleston after purchasing a vintage racing sailboat, which was left in disrepair at a local marina.  He visited so often, trying to get the boat running, that he fell in love with the city and decided to call Charleston home in 2016.

Volunteer work in MUSC’s pet therapy program at the Institute of Psychiatry ultimately inspired a mid-life career shift.  Chip decided to fully indulge his passion for helping others and applied to the Citadel’s graduate program, subsequently earning a master’s degree in Psychology and Clinical Counseling. He is a member of the Psi Chi honors society.

Chip completed his practicum experience at Lantana Recovery, and developed a passion for the community-based treatment model.  He was eager to rejoin the Lantana team after graduation. Skills learned treating patients with severe symptomology in private practice, coupled with experience in the business world, are helpful for a wide range of clients.
